Portrait of NWO Confusion

I am sitting at work-on break of course-listening to a live broadcast of Alex Jones (this is a treat as usually you have to pay for access). Generally, I like Jones. My main complaint is that he, while professing to be a Christian, searches for man-made solutions to handling and defeating the NWO.

The interview at present is with Bob Bowman, who has been on the show before. Jones today, as he did past times, has endorsed Bowman as Bowman is entering is congressional run centering around 9/11 coverups and NWO issues. This is admirable. But, if Jones and others claiming the name of Christ are going to back a campaign, I think we need to know more about the candidate-other than there stands on NWO.

To defeat evil and the AntiChrist system, we need first to follow God's commandments. Let's take a look at Bowman, then God's words via the Bible, Tradition, etc.

We see United Catholic Church site and Bowman's campaign. First the campaign:

Bowman is running in the 15th District of Florida for Congress. ON Spet 2003, he states: "I was a Bob Taft/ Barry Goldwater Republican. But the Republican party drifted away from me and other principled conservatives..." Lets look at a few issues he speaks on (full review up to reader)

Ok, he claims to be an old school conservative (known also as a Paleoconservative).

On the Issues A-Z, we see that he accepts affirmative action, stating " The effects of hundreds of years of slavery and discrimination have not yet been undone. Destructive welfare policies still emasculate black men and separate families. "Negative Action" must be stopped."

So, this Paleo believes that the Govt is to regulate race issues. Hmm, ok....do not see constitutional support for this.

His abortion stance is telling, esp as we will look later at his "church":

I accept the Supreme Court's decision on Roe v. Wade and will not seek to undermine a woman's right to choose in the first trimester. I support making birth control and the "morning-after" pill readily available to women, including minors. With the exception of when a mother's health is at stake, I do not support late-term (third trimester) abortions. I support improving women's access to quality healthcare at all life stages. I support improved financial and healthcare assistance for women choosing to make their children available for adoption. I support parental notification when a minor seeks abortion unless a judge has determined that the minor's interests are best protected otherwise.

The people of this country, with their diverse beliefs, will probably never agree on when human life begins. But the vast majority of us can agree that abortion is a tragedy –– and so is making a criminal out of a desperate woman. Extreme or hard-line positions are divisive and non-productive. With policies which truly support families, we can be pro-choice and still make huge reductions in the number of abortions, and we can be pro-life, building a society which nurtures life at every stage, without violating a woman's right to choose. In an enlightened, compassionate society in which families are educated and financially secure, and in which health care is available to all, most women will choose life. Let us build such a society.

Government policies should strive to make it as easy as possible for women to make the most life-affirming choice. But in the end, we must accept the choices that individual women make for themselves. Most people would support the idea that abortions be rare, but always safe. Roe v. Wade was not intended to provide a right to abortion on demand at any stage of pregnancy. It is imperative that we provide easy access to healthcare for women and young girls, and make "morning-after" pills readily available, as well as the many safe forms of birth control. "

So, he admantly pro-choice. Conservative--it aint so.

His stances on Gay "rights":

"I support human rights; and the last time I checked, homosexuals were human beings. So by definition I support homosexual rights. They should have the same rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness as anyone else, and that includes the right to be free from discrimination and harassment. From a moral and societal point of view, we should all oppose promiscuity, whether gay or straight. We tell our straight teenagers to "Save it for marriage." But what do we tell our gay teenagers to save it for? Now, many people are uptight about the word "marriage." They want it used exclusively for the union of a man and a woman. OK. So let's call a monogamous commitment between gays or lesbians "pairage." But for goodness sakes, we must encourage it, whatever it is called. We can no longer doom homosexuals to a lifetime of celibacy, closeted deceit, or promiscuity. We must hold out the hope of being able to live in a lifelong relationship, and to have that relationship recognized by society and given all the legal rights, responsibilities, and privileges that accrue to married heterosexual couples."

Stance on environment:
"As a scientist, I find overwhelming evidence for global warming and other hazards of unfettered human activity like the burning of fossil fuels."

So, we acceed to the junk science. I think we can see where Bowman is going. He goes on to support National Healthcare and other liberal, far-left stances. He does give quasi support to 2nd Amendment and accuses the Roman Catholic Church (but, I guess leaves out Eastern Rite??) of supporting amnesty and GOP plans to gain more congregants. nice. Lets take a look at who is Bob Bowman.

His Ph.D. is in Aeronautics and Nuclear Engineering from Caltech. He chaired 8 major international conferences, and is one of the country’s foremost experts on National Security. Dr. Bob was an independent candidate for President of the US in 2000, beating Pat Buchanan in Iowa, Illinois, and California. He has resided on the Space Coast for 16 years.

Ok, he has a lot of education and good experiences, To be respected. IN his comments on global warming, he states he looks at it as a scientist. yet his PhD is not in science at all!! Look above, nuclear and aeronautics-no biology, geology, etc.

Let's take a look at the beliefs of the United "catholic" Church:

Statement of beliefs:

We of the independent Catholic movement are Catholic Christians not under the jurisdiction of Rome. We are an outgrowth of the Old Catholic Church in Utrecht, Netherlands. We have not left the Church. Along with all Catholic Christians, we are the Church. Our clergy are validly ordained bishops, priests, and deacons in the Apostolic Succession, and are recognized as such. We are fully Catholic, and we pray for and look forward to the time when once more the unity Jesus prayed for exists. We await that unity (without uniformity) enjoyed by the early Church. Though incorporated as a church, we are not just a denomination; we are a post-denominational fellowship. We even accept rich folks.

In another the Novus Ordo Mass will be indistinguishable from what you will experience in most Roman Catholic parishes. In still another you will find a woman priest and her congregation gathered around the altar at an intimate Mass rich in inclusive language. What binds us together is a rich orthodox Catholic faith, a dedication to follow Jesus in all things, a love of the Eucharist, a commitment to serve the lost and the outcast, and that unique spirituality we call "Catholic."

The United Catholic Church is a free association of individual Christians, independent churches, religious orders, denominations, and interchurch fellowships. We embrace Roman Catholics, Old Catholics, independent Catholics, Orthodox catholics, Anglican catholics, and Protestant catholics. We do not seek to take Christians away from the churches they now attend. We seek rather to minister to the millions of alienated or excommunicated souls who no longer go to Mass or Communion, for whatever reason. We offer them God's unconditional love, acceptance, and Sacraments. We believe holiness is not a prerequisite for Communion, but a result of it. Forgiveness, not condemnation. Valid Sacraments, no strings. Like the early church, we ordain without regard to gender, sexual orientation, or marital status. Pedophiles and promiscuous or abusive clergy NOT tolerated, regardless of sexual orientation (no double standard).


So, basically anything goes and anything you want-including sodomites, women "priests", etc, etc. Try though I might, I see no Biblical nor Tradition, nor Church Father approving "anything goes" indifference and syncretism of UCC.

IV UCC Issues

FAQ #2: How is the United Catholic Church different from the Roman Catholic Church?
Answer: As a denomination, we differ from the Roman Catholic Church in important ways. Most of them are a rejection of man-made laws which grew up over the centuries, leading to an unacceptable legalism. Others involve our rejection of recent doctrines adopted by the Roman Catholic Church without biblical support or the concurrence of the church at large. Some of these major differences are:


1. We do not accept the infallibility of the Pope.
2. Following St. Jerome, we reject the canonicity of the deuterocanonical books.
3. We do not require belief in doctrines lacking biblical support. The various Marian doctrines therefore lose their status as dogma. (People are free to believe in them, but are not required to do so.) Likewise, we reject as dogma the non-biblical concepts of purgatory, indulgences, and prayers for the dead, which are unsupported in the canonical books.
4. While prayers to the saints are permitted in private devotions, they are not part of our public worship. Too often in the past they have led to superstition, and they represent a stumbling block to unity with our Protestant brethren.
5. We use the pre-1054 form of the Nicene Creed, considering the "filioque" added by the Pope at that time to be an unnecessary obstacle to unity with our Orthodox brethren. (See the document "What Does It Mean To Be Catholic?" for a discussion of the "filioque.")
6. We have returned to the following practices of the early church:
a. optional celibacy for clergy (We have married priests and bishops.).
b. ordination of women (We allow women at all levels of the clergy.).
c. celebration of the Eucharist in the home.
d. rejection of violence (Our social conscience is much like that of the Quakers.).
e. participation of the laity in the election of bishops.
7. We believe in the Real Presence in the Eucharist, but reject the 16th-century definition of "transubstantiation" as being unnecessarily detailed, mechanistic, and legalistic.
8. While we discourage divorce, we do not require an expensive and hypocritical annulment, but allow innocent parties to remarry.


So, basically Protestant or pseud-Orthodox? Not according to Bowman:

A Protestant is any Christian belonging to a sect or denomination descending from those that seceded from the Roman Catholic Church at the time of the Reformation. Originally it referred to those who adhered to the doctrine of Martin Luther and who protested in 1529 against the decree of the Diet of Spires commanding submission to the authority of Rome. The word comes from roots meaning to testify or witness in public. The term does not include those churches who broke with Rome either before or after the Reformation. It thus excludes the Orthodox from whom Rome split in 1054 and the Old Catholics who split in 1870. Most Anglicans reject the term, although it was used by the "Protestant Episcopal Church" in the United States, which broke off from the Church of England in 1789. Episcopalians today are split on the use of the term.

The United Catholic Church is descended from the Old Catholic Church formed by bishops who broke with the Roman Catholic Church in 1870 over the declaration of the infallibility of the Pope. We are no more Protestant than is the Greek Orthodox Church. We do, however, have a great deal in common with Protestants (See FAQ #2).

One major difference between the United Catholic Church and the Protestant churches is that we have carefully maintained our Apostolic Succession. The Apostolic Succession of our bishops, the validity of our Holy Orders, and the efficacy of our sacraments is recognized by the Roman Catholic Church. That is not true of any Protestant Church. (As a matter of fact, the Canon Law of the Roman Catholic Church states that Roman Catholics may receive the sacraments from us when a Roman Catholic priest is not available.)

Although we in the United Catholic Church recognize the validity of orders and sacraments in the Anglican churches, the Vatican does not.

We are a "bridge" church, filling a gap between the Roman Catholic and Protestant churches and providing a basis for future unity between them.

SO, without writing a whole book, Bowman, following after heretics, schismatics and others, wishes to pursue a man-made religions, with apparently ecumenism over substance and defiantely, over religion.

Let's take a look at the earyl Church and see if they believe is Ultimate Ecumenism and the doctrines espoused by the supposed adherent to Early Church.

First, let's take abortion:

The Catholic Church has always condemned abortion as a grave evil. Christian writers from the first-century author of the Didache to Pope John Paul II in his encyclical Evangelium Vitae ("The Gospel of Life") have maintained that the Bible forbids abortion, just as it forbids murder. This tract will provide some examples of this consistent witness from the writings of the Fathers of the Church. As the early Christian writer Tertullian pointed out, the law of Moses ordered strict penalties for causing an abortion. We read, "If men who are fighting hit a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely [Hebrew: "so that her child comes out"], but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined whatever the woman’s husband demands and the court allows. But if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot" (Ex. 21:22–24). This applies the lex talionis or "law of retribution" to abortion. The lex talionis establishes the just punishment for an injury (eye for eye, tooth for tooth, life for life, compared to the much greater retributions that had been common before, such as life for eye, life for tooth, lives of the offender’s family for one life). The lex talionis would already have been applied to a woman who was injured in a fight.

The distinguishing point in this passage is that a pregnant woman is hurt "so that her child comes out"; the child is the focus of the lex talionis in this passage. Aborted babies must have justice, too. This is because they, like older children, have souls, even though marred by original sin. David tells us, "Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me" (Ps. 51:5, NIV). Since sinfulness is a spiritual rather than a physical condition, David must have had a spiritual nature from the time of conception. The same is shown in James 2:26, which tells us that "the body without the spirit is dead": The soul is the life-principle of the human body. Since from the time of conception the child’s body is alive (as shown by the fact it is growing), the child’s body must already have its spirit.

Thus, in 1995 Pope John Paul II declared that the Church’s teaching on abortion "is unchanged and unchangeable. Therefore, by the authority which Christ conferred upon Peter and his successors . . . I declare that direct abortion, that is, abortion willed as an end or as a means, always constitutes a grave moral disorder, since it is the deliberate killing of an innocent human being. This doctrine is based upon the natural law and upon the written word of God, is transmitted by the Church’s tradition and taught by the ordinary and universal magisterium. No circumstance, no purpose, no law whatsoever can ever make licit an act which is intrinsically illicit, since it is contrary to the law of God which is written in every human heart, knowable by reason itself, and proclaimed by the Church" (Evangelium Vitae 62). The early Church Fathers agreed. Fortunately, abortion, like all sins, is forgivable; and forgiveness is as close as the nearest confessional.

The Didache"The second commandment of the teaching: You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not seduce boys. You shall not commit fornication. You shall not steal. You shall not practice magic. You shall not use potions. You shall not procure [an] abortion, nor destroy a newborn child" (Didache 2:1–2 [A.D. 70]).

The Letter of Barnabas"The way of light, then, is as follows. If anyone desires to travel to the appointed place, he must be zealous in his works. The knowledge, therefore, which is given to us for the purpose of walking in this way, is the following. . . . Thou shalt not slay the child by procuring abortion; nor, again, shalt thou destroy it after it is born" (Letter of Barnabas 19 [A.D. 74]).

The Apocalypse of Peter"And near that place I saw another strait place . . . and there sat women. . . . And over against them many children who were born to them out of due time sat crying. And there came forth from them rays of fire and smote the women in the eyes. And these were the accursed who conceived and caused abortion" (The Apocalypse of Peter 25 [A.D. 137]).

Athenagoras"What man of sound mind, therefore, will affirm, while such is our character, that we are murderers? . . . [W]hen we say that those women who use drugs to bring on abortion commit murder, and will have to give an account to God for the abortion, on what principle should we commit murder? For it does not belong to the same person to regard the very fetus in the womb as a created being, and therefore an object of God’s care, and when it has passed into life, to kill it; and not to expose an infant, because those who expose them are chargeable with child-murder, and on the other hand, when it has been reared to destroy it" (A Plea for the Christians 35 [A.D. 177]).

Tertullian"In our case, a murder being once for all forbidden, we may not destroy even the fetus in the womb, while as yet the human being derives blood from the other parts of the body for its sustenance. To hinder a birth is merely a speedier man-killing; nor does it matter whether you take away a life that is born, or destroy one that is coming to birth. That is a man which is going to be one; you have the fruit already in its seed" (Apology 9:8 [A.D. 197]). "Among surgeons’ tools there is a certain instrument, which is formed with a nicely-adjusted flexible frame for opening the uterus first of all and keeping it open; it is further furnished with an annular blade, by means of which the limbs [of the child] within the womb are dissected with anxious but unfaltering care; its last appendage being a blunted or covered hook, wherewith the entire fetus is extracted by a violent delivery. "There is also [another instrument in the shape of] a copper needle or spike, by which the actual death is managed in this furtive robbery of life: They give it, from its infanticide function, the name of embruosphaktes, [meaning] "the slayer of the infant," which of course was alive. . . . "[The doctors who performed abortions] all knew well enough that a living being had been conceived, and [they] pitied this most luckless infant state, which had first to be put to death, to escape being tortured alive" (The Soul 25 [A.D. 210]). "Now we allow that life begins with conception because we contend that the soul also begins from conception; life taking its commencement at the same moment and place that the soul does" (ibid., 27). "The law of Moses, indeed, punishes with due penalties the man who shall cause abortion [Ex. 21:22–24]" (ibid., 37).

Minucius Felix"There are some [pagan] women who, by drinking medical preparations, extinguish the source of the future man in their very bowels and thus commit a parricide before they bring forth. And these things assuredly come down from the teaching of your [false] gods. . . . To us [Christians] it is not lawful either to see or hear of homicide" (Octavius 30 [A.D. 226]).

Hippolytus"Women who were reputed to be believers began to take drugs to render themselves sterile, and to bind themselves tightly so as to expel what was being conceived, since they would not, on account of relatives and excess wealth, want to have a child by a slave or by any insignificant person. See, then, into what great impiety that lawless one has proceeded, by teaching adultery and murder at the same time!" (Refutation of All Heresies [A.D. 228]).
Council of Ancyra"Concerning women who commit fornication, and destroy that which they have conceived, or who are employed in making drugs for abortion, a former decree excluded them until the hour of death, and to this some have assented. Nevertheless, being desirous to use somewhat greater lenity, we have ordained that they fulfill ten years [of penance], according to the prescribed degrees" (canon 21 [A.D. 314]).


Basil the Great"Let her that procures abortion undergo ten years’ penance, whether the embryo were perfectly formed, or not" (First Canonical Letter, canon 2 [A.D. 374]). "He that kills another with a sword, or hurls an axe at his own wife and kills her, is guilty of willful murder; not he who throws a stone at a dog, and unintentionally kills a man, or who corrects one with a rod, or scourge, in order to reform him, or who kills a man in his own defense, when he only designed to hurt him. But the man, or woman, is a murderer that gives a philtrum, if the man that takes it dies upon it; so are they who take medicines to procure abortion; and so are they who kill on the highway, and rapparees" (ibid., canon 8).

John Chrysostom"Wherefore I beseech you, flee fornication. . . . Why sow where the ground makes it its care to destroy the fruit?—where there are many efforts at abortion?—where there is murder before the birth? For even the harlot you do not let continue a mere harlot, but make her a murderess also. You see how drunkenness leads to prostitution, prostitution to adultery, adultery to murder; or rather to a something even worse than murder. For I have no name to give it, since it does not take off the thing born, but prevents its being born. Why then do thou abuse the gift of God, and fight with his laws, and follow after what is a curse as if a blessing, and make the chamber of procreation a chamber for murder, and arm the woman that was given for childbearing unto slaughter? For with a view to drawing more money by being agreeable and an object of longing to her lovers, even this she is not backward to do, so heaping upon thy head a great pile of fire. For even if the daring deed be hers, yet the causing of it is thine" (Homilies on Romans 24 [A.D. 391]).

Jerome"I cannot bring myself to speak of the many virgins who daily fall and are lost to the bosom of the Church, their mother. . . . Some go so far as to take potions, that they may insure barrenness, and thus murder human beings almost before their conception. Some, when they find themselves with child through their sin, use drugs to procure abortion, and when, as often happens, they die with their offspring, they enter the lower world laden with the guilt not only of adultery against Christ but also of suicide and child murder" (Letters 22:13 [A.D. 396]).
The Apostolic Constitutions"Thou shalt not use magic. Thou shalt not use witchcraft; for he says, ‘You shall not suffer a witch to live’ [Ex. 22:18]. Thou shall not slay thy child by causing abortion, nor kill that which is begotten. . . . [I]f it be slain, [it] shall be avenged, as being unjustly destroyed" (Apostolic Constitutions 7:3 [A.D. 400]).

Ok, so, "Bishop" Bowman is without a authoratative leg to stand on. Lets: take a look at biblical and Fathers on Homosexuality:

Gen. 1 & 2 - we see from the beginning that the complimentarity of the sexes reflects God's inner unity and His creative power and Fatherhood. God created man and woman to become one flesh which is consummated in the act of marital love.

Gen. 2:18 – throughout the creation story, God says “it is good” seven times. But when God pointed out that man was alone, God says “it is not good.” God then created woman. Man and woman therefore belong together by God’s design, according to His natural and supernatural law.

Gen. 2:24 – God created man and woman so that they could share communion. This communion is consummated in the marital act (which must be between a man and a woman). This communion is also a reflection of the eternal communion of the Blessed Trinity, who created man in His own image and likeness.

Gen. 19:24-28 - the Lord rained fire and brimstone on Sodom and Gomorrah as punishment for the sin of homosexuality. Homosexuality perverts God’s covenant with humanity.

Lev. 18:22, 29 - God commands a man never to lie with a male as with a female, or he will be cut off. This refers to supernatural death which is eternal separation from God.

Lev. 20:13 - God says that if a man lies with another man, he shall be put to death. Homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered, unhealthy, and mortally sinful.

Deut. 22:5 - cross-dressing is also considered an abomination before God.

Matt. 19:6 - after referring to God's divine plan for man and woman, Jesus says a husband and wife become one flesh, which ultimately reflects God's union with humanity through the Church. Homosexual unions pervert this divine truth of God’s love for and union with the human race.

Rom. 1:26 - also, when a woman lies with another women, this is unnatural and a perversion. God wants His children to be pure and holy as He is holy.

Rom. 1:27 – Saint Paul calls the practice of homosexuality shameless, unnatural and a perversity. It is contrary to the natural law, as it eviscerates the life-giving aspect of human sexuality and reduces it to a selfish, pleasure-seeking end.

1 Cor. 6:9 - homosexuality is not part of God's plan for His kingdom. Homosexuals are called to chastity.

1 Tim. 1:10 - sodomites are called ungodly and sinners, unholy and profane, lawless and disobedient. They are called by God to chastity. It is important to note that homosexual attractions and inclinations, while dangerous, are not by themselves sinful per se. It is the acting out on homosexual attraction that is sinful. Those with homosexual desires can still live a life worthy of Christ by remaining chaste and pure as they abstain from acting out on their desires.

Jude 1:7-As Sodom and Gomorrha, and the neighbouring cities, in like manner, having given themselves to fornication, and going after other flesh, were made an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire.

Apparently, not much biblical support for "gays", unless Bowman adopts the "Sodom destroyed because the People were not hospitable" nonsense of higher criticisms. If so, should not hte early Fathers comment?

Nope

You shall not commit fornication; you shall not commit adultery; you shall not be a corrupter of youth." Letter of Barnabas 10 (A.D. 74).

"You shall not be a corrupter of boys, nor like unto such." Letter of Barnabas 10 (A.D. 74).

"You shall not commit murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not commit pederasty, you shall not commit fornication, you shall not steal, you shall not practice magic, you shall not practice witchcraft, you shall not murder a child by abortion nor kill one that has been born." Didache 2:2 (A.D. 90).

"[W]e have been taught that to expose newly-born children is the part of wicked men; and this we have been taught lest we should do anyone harm and lest we should sin against God, first, because we see that almost all so exposed (not only the girls, but also the males) are brought up to prostitution. And for this pollution a multitude of females and hermaphrodites, and those who commit unmentionable iniquities, are found in every nation. And you receive the hire of these, and duty and taxes from them, whom you ought to exterminate from your realm. And any one who uses such persons, besides the godless and infamous and impure intercourse, may possibly be having intercourse with his own child, or relative, or brother. And there are some who prostitute even their own children and wives, and some are openly mutilated for the purpose of sodomy; and they refer these mysteries to the mother of the gods." Justin Martyr, First Apology 27 (A.D. 151).

"All honor to that king of the Scythians, whoever Anacharsis was, who shot with an arrow one of his subjects who imitated among the Scythians the mystery of the mother of the gods . . . condemning him as having become effeminate among the Greeks, and a teacher of the disease of effeminacy to the rest of the Scythians." Bowman should be avoided at all costs, epsecillay in his campaign. We cannot support fighting the NWO by ignoring the truths of the Church established by Christ, especially for short term gain. Oherwise:

Excellent dissection of a “would be” paleoconservatives. The neo-cons and their secular humanist perversion under the guise of conservatism have forever ruined the the very term conservative. The GOP will role out anybody that says they enjoy NASCAR and hits, with words, all the keywords that energize evangelicals. I fear as the gulf between true conservatives and those that claim conservative credentials widens that more and more wolves in sheep’s clothing will claim the label of paleoconservative.

It is important to ferret these critters out early and often.
