Why The Media Embraced '911 Truth'

Last week TIME Magazine and "The Washington Post" ran almost balanced and sympathetic stories about "the 9-11 Truth Movement."

These publications define reality for millions of unsuspecting Americans. Why would they legitimize a conspiracy view that implicates their owners, the Illuminati central bankers? Why would they publicize discrepancies that they have been covering up for five years?

Imagine you're in a meeting with the central bankers who control the American mass media and government. You're the successor of PR whiz Edward Bernays.

"Edward," they say, "the matrix is starting to unravel. A third of Americans believe their government was responsible for 9-11. Damn the Internet! What are we going to do?"

If I were Bernays, I would reply: "Depends if you're planning another false flag terrorist event, martial law and an attack on Iran. If so, I would continue to ignore and marginalize this movement. You don't want to give them a huge boost in credibility at this time."

"Eddie," they reply, "it's too late for all that nasty stuff. Nobody that counts believes in the terror threat any more. Israel got a bloody nose in Lebanon and can't attack Iran. The military has its hands full in Iraq. The generals are in revolt. Plus the Internet is full of stories blaming the Mossad and Israel. Anti-Semitism is on the rise. "

"Don't panic boys,"I tell them. "I have the answer. Listen carefully. What we need is a "Time-Out" to restore everybody's faith in the system. We need a return to the Democratic Party, a return to the sanity of a Carter or a Clinton; a break from those mean ugly corrupt Republicans."

"How do we do that?" the bankers ask.

"Think Daniel Ellsberg and "The Pentagon Papers." Think Michael Moore and "Fahrenheit 911" We need to shift responsibility for 9-11 onto Dubya's shoulders and away from Silverstein and the Mossad, the neo-cons and us. We need to reposition the 9-11 Truth-ers in the mold of the 1960's anti-war movement and focus everyone on hating the 'government.'Then we'll elect Democrats in November and [New Mexico Governor]Bill Richardson, or someone like him, in 2008. It will be a kinder gentler fascism for a while. It'll give us time to plan our next step."

"Where do we begin?" "Why not do a TIME cover story on those kids that made the Internet movie "Loose Change"? They don't mention the dancing laughing Mossad agents who were arrested 'documenting the event' with explosives in their van, do they? Portray the kids as participating in the "great American tradition of self reliance and non conformist anti authoritarian dissent. They're fighting the power." [exact words TIME uses] Maybe we could bring Bob Dylan in on this."

"Eddie, this is dangerous. That film shows that Larry [Silverstein] ordered the demolition of WTC 7 the same day. Are Americans so stupid to believe that this 47-floor building was wired for demolition, and WTC­1 and WTC-2 weren't? Surely they'll figure out that all three were demolished and a plane was supposed to hit WTC-7. We'll all be hung for mass murder."

"Guys. Don't worry. The people believe what they're told not common sense or their own eyes. We won't mention WTC-7 in the articles. We'll just focus on a couple of points and have our paid flunkies, I mean 'experts' refute them. The important thing is to emphasize that the 'government' did this. It was an "inside job." Dubya will take the fall in the public's mind."

"Is one story enough?"

"Put another one in "The Washington Post" focused on David Ray Griffin. It'll be our experts and against theirs and the people won't know what to think. They'll blame Dubya and think the media is objective and doing its job."

CONCLUSION At the risk of sounding optimistic, the mainstream coverage of the 9-11 Truth Movement may be a sign that we will not have an Iran attack and another false-flag terrorist event soon. I think the bankers are scared that they are losing control of the American mind. Dubya has been very useful to them but it's time for him to take the rap and go. The only danger is that he and Cheney will do something desperate to hold on to power. Without the cooperation of the media, they can't succeed. Their term ends in two years anyway. I think they'll take their money and exit gracefully. For once, I am making a prediction that I hope will be correct.

Rarely highlighted footage of an NBC news anchor commenting that the collapse of the twin towers was by no means accidental and that it was a "planned" event, emphasizes the point that before the official mind control script was introduced and parroted forevermore, everybody's first reaction was "controlled demolition."

The NBC anchor featured in this clip is simply reacting to the events he is witnessing with common sense in stating that the collapse of the trade towers was obviously a planned event and by no means an accident or a simple consequence of jets hitting the buildings.
"This was clearly -- the way the structure is collapsing -- this was the result of something that was planned."
"This is not, it's not accidental that the first tower just happened to collapse and then the second tower just happened to collapse in exactly the same way."
"How they accomplished this, we don't know. But clearly this is what happened."

This is what I wrote in the late afternoon of September 11, 2001.
"The collapse of the World Trade Center towers is also perplexing. They clearly imploded as if being demolished by carefully placed bombs within the building. The explanation that the aircraft fuel from the Boeing caused the implosion doesn't tally with the footage of the event. Surely such a method would produce a more inconsistent and graphic explosion? The building collapsed symmetrically."

CBS News' Dan Rather also commented that the collapse of building 7, which wasn't hit by a plane, resembled a deliberate attempt to demolish the structure using incendiary devices.
"For the third time today, it's reminiscent of those pictures we've all seen too much on television before when a building was deliberately destroyed by well placed dynamite to knock it down."

NBC's Pat Dawson reported the working hypothesis of the FDNY in the immediate aftermath of the towers' collapse.

"The chief of safety of the Fire Department of New York City told me he received word of a possibility of a secondary device -- that is another bomb going off. He tries to get his men out as quickly as he could, but he said that there was another explosion which took place and according to his theory, he thinks that there were actually devices that were planted in the building."

MSNBC news anchor Rick Sanchez reported that police had found suspicious devices in and around the WTC area and that the secondary explosions, which were reported by numerous survivors, were thought by police to be bombs.

"Police have found what they believe to be a suspicious device and they fear that it may lead to another explosion."

"I spoke with some police officials moments ago, Chris, and they told me they have reason to believe that one of the explosions at the World Trade Center aside the ones caused by the planes, may have been caused by a van that was parked on the building that may have had an explosive device in it."

During an exchange between ABC's Peter Jennings and reporter Don Dahler following the collapse of the north tower, the first assumption is again that controlled demolition must have been used to take down the building."Yes Peter its Don Dahler down here. I'm four blocks north of the World Trade Center. The second building that was hit by the plane has just completely collapsed."

"The entire building has just collapsed as if a demolition team set off....when you see the old demolition of these old buildings. It just folded in on itself and it is not there anymore."
Peter Jennings: "If you wish to bring, if anyone has ever watched a building being demolished on purpose knows, that you're going to do this you have to get at the, at the under infrastructure of a building and bring it down."

Police chiefs, fire department heads, veteran news anchors, eyewitnesses on the ground - everyone's first reaction was "controlled demolition" because the events suggested nothing else. In the first few hours of 9/11 - bombs in the buildings was almost as equally understood and accepted as the fact that planes had hit the towers.

Just as with the Oklahoma City Bombing - reports of multiple explosions and bombs were commonplace - but the scriptwriters had to concoct a fable that matched the explanation of Timothy McVeigh and a single fertilizer truck bomb. Similarly, anything that contradicted the already decided upon explanation of 9/11, no matter that almost every eyewitness interviewed as the attack unfolded reported bombs, was cut from the final edit of the propaganda.
History is written by the winners - if the government had announced that gargoyles from the planet Jupiter had destroyed the towers with mind rays - the mainstream media would have lined up, saluted, licked boots, and supported that explanation.

The sheer magnitude of trying to overturn such a gargantuan lie as the official story of 9/11 rested on demolishing the power of the initial mind control - the first explanation of what happened is always provided by the government and it always remains as the seal of authenticity, no matter how preposterous. Not enough people dared question the official version of 9/11 in the hours and days after the attack and that's why it stuck.

If the 9/11 truth movement has achieved anything it is the diluting of the influence and credibility the government has in brainwashing the public with its "official version" in the immediate aftermath of major events. Which thankfully makes the much vaunted "next 9/11" less likely in the short-term to happen.

In her first report for 60 Minutes, Katie Couric examines the health effects and fallout from the toxic dust inhaled by first responders at Ground Zero. She reports that nearly 25% of the FDNY is suffering from respiratory problems that can be directly linked to Ground Zero and that Bush administration officials changed the EPA press releases to sound more "reassuring" Couric requested an interview with Mayor Giuliani. He declined!


Alex Jones: Most Police, Firefighters Now Believe 9/11 Inside Job Truth events at ground zero enjoy very encouraging reception

Documentary film maker and radio host Alex Jones, coordinating today's 9/11 truth movement events in downtown New York City, says that the atmosphere around ground zero has dramatically changed, with the majority of firefighters and police officers now sympathetic to the claim that 9/11 was an inside job.

Alex is featured at the end of the Associated Press video above imploring viewers to understand that 9/11 was "a self-inflicted wound designed to create a police state in the U.S. and capture us as an engine for world government and world domination."

Alex was assigned to lead a protest march today which he described as over 1000 strong as it snaked across ground zero and through lower Manhattan.

Saying that the "entire atmosphere had changed," Alex explained how police support for protesters at ground zero had gone from 20% support two years ago to around 60% support now - with many willing to affirm that sentiment on camera and many knowledgeable about Alex Jones' work and the 9/11 truth movement.

"Police just saying 'keep your investigation going, we appreciate you' on video," said Jones.
"The firemen we've been talking to - a hundred per cent are on our side and have seen the documentary films....it is just incredible what's happened at the grass roots."

Jones said that the few debunkers who were spewing Bush administration style propaganda were met with distain from the police.

"I think that thing that triggered it was the fact that the government lied about the dust, the asbestos all of it," said Jones in citing why first responders and police have become increasingly skeptical about anything the government says about 9/11.

Alex later commenced a vocal bullhorning of ground zero and led a chant of "9/11 was an inside job," more on that to come tomorrow.

A benchmark of the wildfire success of the 9/11 truth movement can be measured with a new CNN poll released today that shows the amount of American citizens who "blame the Bush administration for the September 11, 2001, attacks," has risen from a third to over a half over the past four years.
